Indu lives a middle-class lifestyle along with her widower dad. She attends college, meets with Raj, and both fall in love with each other. Raj follows her everywhere including a picnic, much to the chagrin of her College Teacher, but Indu shuns her and sings and dances with Raj. Thereafter both take off on Raj's motorbike. Some goons attempt to molest her, a scuffle ensues, Indu is abducted and subsequently thrown down a cliff and the car with the molesters in it explodes. Raj thinks that Indu is dead and loses his mind and is institutionalized in C.T. Mental Hospital under the care of Dr. Ram Kumar Verma. When Raj gets better, he is discharged, finds out that Indu is still alive and goes to meet her and attempts to get intimate with her. It is then her husband, none other than Dr. Verma himself walks in, sees them together and decides to kill them.

Rajeshwar belongs to a wealthy family, and is the only son of Dharamraj, who is an industrialist, and partners with Naglingam Reddy, Nagendra, and Dhanraj. Rajeshwar meets Bharati, who comes from a very poor family, and falls in love with her. Bharati's father is a schoolteacher, Vishnupratap, and has also to beg for food house to house to make ends meet. Bharati initially does not reciprocrate Rajeshwar's affection, but when she realizes that he really does love her, she too falls in love with him. Bharati's has a neighbor, Tilak, who is unemployed, and lives with his mother, Sharda, who works as a maidservant in a rich family's house. Tilak falls in love with the daughter, Rani, of this rich family. Both Rajeshwar and Tilak dislike each other. Then Dharamraj gets killed, and the evidence points towards Tilak. Tilak is arrested and unless he can gather evidence that clears him, he may face the death sentence.

Advocate Anand Mathur draws up a will for his client, while reading the novel "Godfather", and erroneously makes out the will with a provision that the beneficiary must be a criminal don in order to inherit the billions of rupees. The beneficiary is a bachelor named Rahul Bhargav, who wants no part of being a Don, criminal or anything of that sort. His Police Inspector girlfriend, Kanchan Dhillon, has set her sights on the billions, and makes him change his mind. She assures him that she will use her influence and ensure that he gets to be the Don in no time at all, little realizing that this will change their lives forever, and make them captives in neighbouring and hostile Pakistan.

Wealthy Deepak comes to the rescue of a village belle named Tara, marries her in secret, leaves her with a promise to return. When Tara finds out she is pregnant, and Deepak has abandoned her she gets a stroke and as a result loses her voice. Subsequently, she gives birth to a son, and leaves the village to go to Bombay to look for Deepak. Once there, she comes across Deepak, who will not have anything to do with her, and gives her some money to look after herself and the child. She abandons the child in a taxi-cab, and the child ends up with Deepak's sister, Neela. Watch how hilarious chaos reigns as the child keeps on ending up with Deepak - no matter what he does to get rid of it.
